California orders only must purchase R-507 Reclaimed. Contractors must service existing equipment with reclaimed refrigerant per California law.  As of January 1, 2025, California’s Senate Bill (SB) 1206 prohibits the sale of bulk hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) with a global warming potential (GWP) greater than 2,200.  

Refrigerant R507A a non-ozone depleting, azeotropic blend of HFC refrigerants R-125 and R-134A. R-507 is blended to closely match the properties of R-502, making it a good refrigerant for some medium and most low temperature refrigeration applications.
